People who didn’t part their hair down the middle in the seventies or didn’t perm their hair in the eighties were fashion criminals.

Trendy hair styles are just as important today, conveying a sense of fashion and personal style. A big influence on current trends are celebrities and others in the public eye. Some common styles now are based on celebrities like Jessica Simpson, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Aniston and Eva Longoria.
Male celebrities also influence how men of the times wear their hair as well. Men tend to have more styles to choose from, ranging from a longer cut to…well, bald. Sideburns are also important for men.
Other influences include seasons of the year and current clothing fashions.
Which is More Fashionable – Long or Short?
No matter whether your hair is long or short, as long as it has a modern cut, it can be trendy. Many people claim short hair is more fashionable nowadays, however. It’s sometimes hard for people to take the plunge and cut long hair short. The reality is that a shorter hair cut is easier and more flexible to style day to day.
